Winans humbly accepted her award, stating, “I don’t know what’s going on, but I know it has nothing to do with me. God is amazing…He only knows us according to our relationship with Him.”

Host Tauren Wells echoed the theme of unity as he opened the night, saying, “Though there are many genres, we are singing one song.” The Dove Awards brought together an inspiring mix of pop, gospel, rap, and southern gospel performances. Brandon Lake, who won Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and was named Songwriter of the Year, shared heartfelt gratitude for his collaborators, saying, “I just want my friends to win…I’m surrounded by greatness.”

The 55th Dove Awards also honored Bill and Gloria Gaither with the Jackie Patillo Leadership Award. Bill Gaither, calling attention to the need for hope in America, said, “There’s a hole in the heart of America that only God can fill.”

The GMA announced that the Dove Awards will move to the Bridgestone Arena in 2025, marking a new chapter in its history. The night ended with Crowder’s electrifying performance of “Grave Robber,” wrapping up an evening of joy, diversity, and unity in worship.
