Tasha Cobbs Leonard also graced the winner’s circle, securing two well-deserved trophies for Gospel Worship Album of the Year and Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year. Meanwhile, the title of New Artist of the Year was bestowed upon Katy Nicole, and “Jesus Revolution” claimed the crown as Feature Film of the Year.

He passionately declared, “We stand with the people of God, and as scripture instructs us, we pray for peace in Jerusalem. Now here’s the thing – we can’t just pray for peace and not understand and identify the Prince of Peace. This conflict will not end until Jesus is the Lord of Israel, and Jesus is the Lord of Palestine, and Jesus is the Lord of every nation, tribe, and tongue. There is a day coming at which every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. The world could be at war, but the church is going to be in worship. Because we don’t praise God depending on our circumstances; we praise God depending on His reputation.”

Dr. Bobby Jones received the prestigious Jackie Patillo Leadership Award, a well-deserved tribute to his illustrious career as a composer, recording artist, and choir director. As a pioneer in the propagation of Gospel music through the power of radio and television programming, Dr. Jones played a pivotal role in catapulting numerous renowned artists to their current acclaim. A Night of Divine Harmony: Hillsong London Worship at SM Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines

Praise Hits

Published on October 20, 2023

On the evening of October 17, 2023, a radiant sense of spiritual anticipation filled the air as the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, played host to an unforgettable event – a worship concert by Hillsong London Worship, featuring the charismatic worship leader, Jay Cook. It was a night when the congregation came together to lift their voices and hearts to the heavens in an act of praise and devotion, as timeless Hillsong classics and contemporary hits resounded in a divine symphony.

The energy in the arena was palpable from the moment the worship team stepped onto the stage, radiating a genuine desire to lead the audience into a deeper connection with the Divine. Jay Cook, known for his soul-stirring and passionate worship, was a beacon of spiritual strength, leading the congregation in songs of praise and worship. With every note he sang, it was evident that he had not just memorized the lyrics, but he had internalized their profound meaning.

The night began with the iconic “Mighty to Save,” and the words “Savior, He can move the mountains” reverberated throughout the arena, echoing in the hearts of the thousands gathered. The atmosphere was one of unity and surrender, as people from all walks of life joined together to exalt the name of Jesus.

Throughout the evening, Hillsong London Worship moved effortlessly between old and new, weaving a tapestry of worship that transcended time. Songs like “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” and “Cornerstone” brought a sense of nostalgia, reminding us of the countless times these songs had carried us through life’s storms. It was as if these melodies were written on our hearts, a reminder that the God of our past was still present in our present.

Yet, the night was not merely a walk down memory lane; it was a celebration of the present. The worship team unveiled some of their latest hits, reminding us that worship is a living, breathing entity that continues to evolve with each passing day. The anthemic “Fresh Wind” and the heartrending “Hope Has a Name” painted pictures of spiritual renewal and transformation, bringing an assurance that God was moving in our lives here and now.

As we lifted our hands, tears streaming down our faces, and voices raised in collective harmony, the atmosphere within the SM Mall of Asia Arena was charged with an overwhelming sense of God’s presence. Every song, every lyric, every note was a reminder of the grace that had been poured upon us, and the hope that lay ahead.

The evening culminated with a powerful rendition of “What a Beautiful Name.” As we sang, “Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You,” it was a testimony to the power of the One whom we had come to worship. The name of Jesus stood as a beacon of hope and salvation, transcending time and space.

In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, this worship concert served as a spiritual oasis, a reminder that we are never alone, and our voices, raised in unity, reach the ears of a loving and compassionate Creator.

As we left the SM Mall of Asia Arena that night, our hearts were full, our spirits were renewed, and our faith was strengthened. Hillsong London Worship, led by the remarkable Jay Cook, had given us a gift—a night of worship that will resonate in our souls for years to come, a testament to the unending grace of the One we adore.

A heartfelt thank you to Hillsong London Worship for gracing us with your divine presence, and to Boardworks Media for this moment.
